Bingo

I recently had another very Spanish experience: Bingo.

Spaniards go crazy for Bingo. They love it. They dedicate huge halls entirely to Bingo. It's one of the only things you can do at almost all hours on any given day, including during siesta.

It was actually my first time not only playing Bingo, but in a gambling establishment in general. I went with my two roommates, Sabela and Laura, and we met two other friends there.

My roommies were sure to carefully explain the rules to me. Spaniards are serious about Bingo. When you play, you cannot socialize. You must concentrate on your card. Sabela made this very clear to me, as she really likes to win.

We played a couple cards, but alas, did not win. But I definitely practiced my Spanish number quick-draw skills (they list off the numbers really fast!).

All in all, I quite enjoyed myself. I think I could get behind this cultural obsession...
